Backend Developer Intern

About the Role

Join the backend services team building reliable, scalable APIs. You’ll work on data modelling, service integrations, and performance tuning using Node. Expect exposure to production monitoring, security best practices, and infrastructure (Docker, cloud).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement backend endpoints and data models
• Write migrations and optimize database queries
• Implement auth, input validation and security controls
• Add tests and CI pipelines; assist with monitoring and incident fixes
• Collaborate with frontend and product teams on integrations

Requirements

• Experience programming in Node.js
• Familiarity with SQL and data modelling concepts
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and authentication (JWT/OAuth)
• Basic Docker and cloud (AWS/GCP) familiarity is a plus
